Senior Financial Analyst – FP&A Job Description Template
Our company is looking for a Senior Financial Analyst – FP&A to join our team.
Responsibilities:
- Support the Vice President, Operations to achieve local and region financial and human capital scorecard objectives;
- Support automation and enterprise consolidation of data used in monthly, quarterly, and annual performance reports;
- Continuous process improvements: Identify, Lead, and Create process and model improvements, not just maintain them;
- Ad hoc and on-demand analytics to support executive leadership and third parties;
- Proactively spot and communicate trends and risks within financial statements, analyses, and projects;
- Assist with coordinating capital expenditure projections and related operating expenditure across multiple business units;
- Provide support to assist driving financial transparency across multiple business units;
- Support balance sheet budgeting and forecasting;
- Execute and perform tasks contributing to the completion of the annual budget;
- Design, develop and produce standard monthly, quarterly, and annual performance analytics;
- Support free cash flow budgeting and forecasting;
- Maintain compliance with Inovalon’s policies, procedures and mission statement; and;
- Benchmarking Company performance vs SaaS industry trends;
- Project management across functions; including financial and operational information;
- Responsible for developing data expertise and working closely with the team to craft and deliver the story to senior leadership.
Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree in accounting or finance;
- Strong EQ, analytical and quantitative skills;
- Authorized to work in the US;
- Ability to build and maintain positive working relationships with other departments throughout the company;
- Ability to effectively and autonomously prioritize multiple demands with support of management;
- Attention to detail, with high standards of accuracy and review, but must have ability to see the big picture;
- Big 4 and public accounting experience, strongly preferred;
- Desire to consistently exceed expectations and take on more responsibility;
- Must be very detail oriented and self-motivated, as this position generally requires employees to work independently;
- Self-directed, results driven, with passion for always taking things to the next level to continuously improve financial and operational performance;
- Expert Excel skills required (VBA experience is a plus);
- Understanding of relevant ASC guidance for software industry;
- Ability to partner with internal customers effectively;
- Understanding of US GAAP, quarterly earnings process and public company audit;
- Strong business acumen and ability to build confidence at all levels and roles.
