Our company is looking for a Senior Product Development Manager to join our team.

Responsibilities:

  • Work directly with factories to develop sellable and cost conscious diamond heavy products in parameters set by CEOs;
  • Map out product development plan – pace of development, number of styles and which styles to be launched when – in collaboration with marketing;
  • Troubleshoot quality issues with factories in sampling phase;
  • Review designs from any designer or collaboration partner to assess manufacturability and realistic cost expectations;
  • Foster healthy relationships with existing vendors, manufacturers and their key employees for the benefit of the company;
  • Audit vendor performance regularly and make decisions on which relationship to keep based on needs, quality, etc;
  • Understand how to toe the line of a personal relationship with someone and know how to get the best results leveraging this;
  • Initiate, onboard and maintain healthy relationships with domestic and local manufacturers and vendors for development and production;
  • Manage product development process from handoff of conceptual design from designer/s, through sample approval;
  • Manage all members of product development team including factories making samples and any outsourced talent for design/development;
  • Update and enforce vendor manual, define chargeback structure and tracking;
  • Responsible for costing all jewelry based on sampling and negotiations pre- production, collaborating with Production on sourcing components;
  • Own all tracking systems for development cycles and team – allow team members to use day-to-day and audit on as needed basis for accountability;
  • Set and articulate expectations for new product development and ensure timely delivery according to development calendar;
  • Assign SKUs to styles that are going forward and collaborate with production manager on Netsuite SKU creation.

Requirements:

  • 5-10 years of product development in the fine jewelry industry;
  • Proven ability to manage development cycles efficiently;
  • Extensive management experience in a fast-paced environment;
  • Direct experience in the home industry a must;
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills and track-record of working with others;
  • Exceptional analytical skills, with a data-driven approach to problem solving;
  • Superior organizational skills and ability to prioritize workload autonomously;
  • Strong aesthetic sensibility and eye for good design;
  • Minimum of 1 year experience in directly managing a team;
  • Working closely with clients and potential clients based in the US to design and implement efficient fund structure solutions;
  • Aligning the AMX business in terms of resources required (internal, as well as external advisors) and priority of implementation;
  • Ensuring new fund structures are operationally and commercially viable, and part of the wider AMX strategic vision;
  • Working with Business Development and AMX senior management to help set the strategy for US structures and functionality;
  • Extensive management experience in a fast-paced environment;
  • Impeccable attention to detail, highly organized with the ability to manage several development projects at one time.
