Senior Program Manager Job Description Template
Our company is looking for a Senior Program Manager to join our team.
Responsibilities:
- Practice data driven decision making, leveraging customer and platform data analytics to drive feature planning and measure impact;
- Work closely with engineers, partners, and stakeholders to gather and prioritize requirements and ensure alignment on scenarios;
- Be the face of your scenarios and features by presenting at public forums, hackathons and community events;
- Provide Engineering teams with epics/scenarios/business use cases and justifications based on business impact measures;
- Work across organizational boundaries to coordinate with other subject matter experts and achieve shared objectives;
- Awareness and inclusion of industry trends around customer support, customer and agent experiences, and performance enablement innovation;
- Conduct data analysis to identify improvement opportunities, and drive changes;
- Practice effective project management skills in leading this program;
- Work with Data, understand patterns and determine where there are opportunities to improve;
- Facilitate cross-functional solutions integration to define, estimate & schedule resources & program work to achieve program scope;
- Provide performance monitoring, information and reporting; help diagnose root cause of problems;
- Continually drive innovation, improvement and growth for Microsoft and our clients;
- Evangelize Industry solutions with customers to build market awareness and customer adoption;
- Understand the latest developments in the open source community and plan to offer the same to Azure customers;
- Partner with Sales, Marketing and Product teams to research Industry specific use cases.
Requirements:
- BS Degree in Computer Science, Electrical & Computer Engineering or Mathematics or equivalent experience;
- Deep understanding of cloud infrastructure technologies, business drivers, and emerging computing trends;
- Experience with building services on Azure or other cloud services;
- Need to be data driven, using telemetry to form hypotheses which are validated with real customers;
- Proven track-record for delivering features in multiple development cycle;
- Ability to translate ideas into clear, high impact communications (e.g. email, presentations, etc.);
- Proven ability designing and shipping complex, technical scalable systems;
- Experience shipping hardware and software through at least 2 product cycles;
- 5+ years of experience in computer software industry including 3 years of software program/product management experience;
- Ability to partner and cooperate with diverse teams and individuals;
- Self-starter that thrives in an ambiguous, fast-paced environment; proven ability to deliver on commitments;
- Experience with utilizing Telos XACTA tool;
- 6+ years of experience years in software development or Program Management is required;
- Experience with manipulating large data sets across multiple data sources, passion for exploring data and extracting valuable insights;
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or related field (or equivalent experience).
