Our company is looking for a Senior Real Estate Analyst to join our team.

Responsibilities:

  • Conduct market research by contacting and having verbal discussions with real estate brokers;
  • Conduct property site inspections, as needed;
  • Rate performance of vendors to support a recommendation for continuation of use on the approved appraiser and broker panel;
  • Elevate unresolved deficiencies to management;
  • Conduct periodic loan surveillance on assets held in our portfolio; evaluate loan risks and report to management;
  • Communicate with third-party appraisers to resolve deficiencies and maintain an audit trail of communication and revisions;
  • Communicate directly with capital markets professionals, asset managers, leasing brokers, property managers and clients;
  • Research market conditions in support of financial underwriting assumptions;
  • Perform other responsibilities and as directed by management;
  • Ability to play a role in presenting with lead broker in a formal client setting to audiences with a wide range of financial acumen;
  • Compile and present the results of analyses and effectively address questions;
  • Assist in the production of property offering memorandums which will be used to actively market retail assets to the marketplace;
  • Complete special projects, as directed, to improve the Collateral Valuation Program;
  • Coordinate collection of due diligence material;
  • Build, edit, and manipulate complex financial cash flow models using Argus DCF and Argus Enterprise software.

Requirements:

  • Proven experience in abstracting lease agreements;
  • Very process oriented and organized self-starter with sharp focus on details with an awareness of the bigger picture;
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills with strong attention to detail;
  • Strong interpersonal and organizational skills with ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously;
  • Ability to make decisions quickly and confidently based upon analysis;
  • Proven experience in the valuation of income-producing properties is mandatory;
  • Clear verbal communication with internal and external customers and third-party participants;
  • Excellent quantitative and analytical skills in combination with outstanding communication skills (both oral and written);
  • Effective report writing and other written communication skills;
  • Proven experience and proficiency in building complex cash flow models;
  • Must have advanced knowledge and 2+ years of experience using Argus Enterprise to underwrite shopping centers or office buildings;
  • Bachelor’s degree with high academic achievement in Real Estate, Finance, Accounting, or Economics preferred but not required;
  • Must have 3+ years experience in a commercial real estate position, preferably focused on retail, net leased, or office assets;

  • High level of proficiency in Microsoft Excel.
