Our company is looking for a Senior Tax Manager to join our team.

Responsibilities:

  • Licensed CPA or JD;
  • Research complex tax issues using internal revenue code, treasury regulations and other relevant authorities/guidance;
  • Perform technical tax review of assigned tax returns of varying complexity;
  • Interact directly with clients handling questions, planning, consulting, etc. – approximately 20- 40% of your time;
  • Recruitment of new and experienced staff;
  • Deliver high quality tax planning and advisory services to existing KPMG tax clients;
  • Review returns prepared by tax associates and seniors;
  • Conduct tax research;
  • Train and supervise staff along with reviewing and evaluating their work. Manage multiple clients, budgets and production goals;
  • Provide tax compliance and tax advisory services to individuals, partnerships, S corporations and corporations in a variety of industries;
  • Maintain excellent relationships with clients;
  • Work closely with Tax Partners to satisfy the needs with planning compliance. Understand and manage firm risk on tax services performed;
  • Support and assist managers in training and development of staff;
  • Providing review of returns, planning, research and compliance;
  • Ensures top quality client service and oversees total engagement activity.

Requirements:

  • Significant experience working with all types of entity taxes;
  • US Citizen or Permanent Resident;
  • Excellent analytical skills and judgment;
  • Proficient in the taxation of partnerships, limited liability companies and other similar flow-through entities and high net-worth individuals;
  • CPA Certification;
  • Demonstrates excellence in Executive Presence, People Development, Leadership, and Professionalism;
  • Maintains appropriate compliance with all firm wide and local office policies and procedures;
  • Masters in Taxation preferred;
  • Advanced level tax research and preparation skills;
  • Excellent communication (written and oral) and interpersonal skills;
  • CPA or EA with a minimum of five years’ experience;
  • Has demonstrated proficiency as a Manager in Public Accounting or equivalent experience;
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills;
  • Undergraduate degree; Master’s degree a plus;
  • Manages multiple assignments inside an engagement.
