Our company is looking for a Tax Senior to join our team.
Responsibilities:
- Coaches/mentors individual team members;
- Develops and maintains strong relationships with client personnel;
- Ensure high quality of work product;
- Supervise and manage expectations of engagement teams, staff accountants and/or interns on your teams;
- Supervises the engagement (job) project management, billing, ensures QC (technical) standards;
- Learn and begin to apply growth process (participates in assigned RC,, pipeline support, COPs, etc.);
- Active in recruitment of new and experienced staff;
- Develop and motivate tax associates by providing them with counseling, leadership and career guidance;
- Proactive in bottom-line management of assigned engagements and individual productivity opportunities;
- Develop and motivate tax seniors and associates by reviewing their work and providing them with counseling, leadership and career guidance;
- Execution, maintenance and completion of assigned client engagements in a variety of industries;
- Demonstrate the ability to efficiently research tax topics of intermediate complexity;
- Research tax issues and communicate potential risks that may impact a client’s tax planning strategies and projects;
- Supervise and review tax returns prepared by other tax staff assigned to engagements;
- Develop recommendations and implementation plans for clients and team members.
Requirements:
- 2-5 years of proven experience in public accounting;
- Prior basic supervisory experience preferred;
- Excellent communication (written and oral) and interpersonal skills;
- Ability to travel to clients when needed;
- Advanced tax-related degrees (MST, JD, etc.) preferred;
- Has a positive attitude and a team player mentality with a can-do spirit;
- Detail oriented;
- Excellent analytical, organizational, and written and verbal communication skills;
- Reputation of integrity, even in conflictive situations;
- Experience mentoring and training more junior level team members;
- Ability to assume responsibility for projects, complete them within agreed upon time and resources, and be an active learner;
- Have willingness to travel as necessary;
- Communication Skills;
- Strong client service skills with the ability to interact with all levels of management;
