Our company is looking for a Technical Product Owner to join our team.

Responsibilities:

  • Take functional lead of the overall project teams as the Product Owner;
  • Providing vision and direction to the Agile development team and stakeholders throughout the project and create requirements;
  • Lead the planning for product release plans and set expectation for delivery of new functionalities;
  • Ensure the value of the work the development team performs;
  • Collaborate with, but not depend on, other technical team members to understand dependencies and order of technical deliverables;
  • Provide backlog management, iteration planning, and elaboration of the user stories;
  • Ensure technical requirements are clear, aligned, testable, accurate, and maintained;
  • Ordering the items in the Product Backlog to best achieve goals and missions;
  • Provide an active role in mitigating impediments impacting successful team completion of Release/Sprint Goals;
  • Plan and prioritize product feature backlog and development for the product;
  • Ensure that the team always has an adequate amount of prior prepared tasks to work on;
  • Clearly expressing Product Backlog items;
  • Keep abreast with Agile/Scrum best practices and new trends;
  • Ensure the development team understand items in the backlog.

Requirements:

  • 5+ years working in a Business Analysis or Product Owner role;
  • Excellent organizational and time management skills;
  • Familiarity with advanced QA and test automation tools strongly preferred;
  • Strong technical background;
  • Prior expertise working with clinical data in a Healthcare or Lifesciences company;
  • Outstanding communication, presentation and leadership skills;
  • Experience with SAFe or similar framework;
  • Previous working experience as a Product Owner for 5+ year(s);
  • 2+ years of experience with Behavior Driven and Test Driven Development (BDD & TDD);
  • 3+ years working in an Agile Scrum style, Atlassian suite preferred;
  • Industry experience (financial services, group insurance, voluntary benefits, health benefits);
  • Demonstrable knowledge of 1 or more programming languages (prior developer experience preferred);
  • Bachelor’s in Computer Science, Engineering or similar relevant field;
  • Sharp analytical and problem-solving skills;
  • Strong knowledge of application architecture.
