Technical Project Manager Job Description Template
Our company is looking for a Technical Project Manager to join our team.
Responsibilities:
- Recruit and train exceptional employees to fulfill posted positions within the technical department;
- Run project meetings with team members and with clients;
- Collaborating with teams across the customer organization to improve processes, results, and customer experience;
- Communicate effectively at varying levels in the organization with technical and non-technical audiences;
- Manage multiple projects and produce effectively through day-to-day changing priorities;
- Coordinates execution of development projects from initiation through release, utilizing SDLC methodologies and leveraging Agile/Scrum concepts;
- Conduct project meetings and track and analyze projects;
- Manages and appropriately escalates delivery impediments, risks, issues, and changes tied to the product development initiatives;
- Proactively managing scope to ensure that only what was agreed to is delivered, unless changes are approved through scope management;
- Management and delivery of software projects in a Lean-Agile development environment;
- Prepare reports and present them to senior management as needed;
- Drive the development and delivery of technical products, SRE tools and solutions within the organization;
- Manage all stakeholders and build strong customer and subcontractor relationships;
- Site Reliability Engineering responsibilities, good understanding of Observability metrics;
- Track action items and decisions.
Requirements:
- Self-motivated for continuous improvement;
- Results-oriented / delivery focused; ability to deliver high-quality results under tight deadlines;
- Working knowledge of the technology stack-components that make up technology infrastructure;
- Bachelor’s Degree in computer science, computer engineering, or other technical discipline or equivalent work experience required;
- Track project performance, specifically to analyze the successful completion of Requirements initially taken up into the scope;
- Breaking down complex projects into simple sub-projects;
- Conducting professional meetings and presentations;
- Complete educational background, preferably in the fields of computer science or engineering for technical project managers;
- Ability to collect/analyze data and formulate business recommendations for senior management;
- Experience managing project budgets and reporting while ensuring compliance with SDLC;
- Working with QA team to ensure the delivery of quality software;
- MS Project Schedule development experience, 3rd party vendor schedule integration is a plus (Required 5 Years);
- You have a team-focused mindset;
- Experience within the media entertainment industry is highly desirable;
- Experience in planning Operational Test approach, Measures of Performance/Effectiveness/Suitability, and Surveys.
