Technology Recruiter Job Description Template
Our company is looking for a Technology Recruiter to join our team.
Responsibilities:
- Conduct intake meetings with clients to agree on qualification criteria for candidates;
- Source and contact passive candidates online (e.g. via LinkedIn);
- Coordinate interview and follow up activities;
- Screen resumes and job applications;
- As a more senior member of the team, help newer members of the team succeed through mentorship and sharing of expertise;
- Update clients and colleagues on hiring status (e.g. number of screened candidates);
- Publish job ads on careers pages, job boards and social media;
- Manage consultants while on assignment; facilitate redeployment of consultants as assignments approach completion;
- Facilitate the offer process, including salary negotiations, benefits and other terms and conditions of employment;
- Keep detailed records of past applicants’ information, including resumes, assignments and interview evaluations;
- Manage a portfolio of client accounts and maintain good relationships with them;
- Create talent pipelines with high-potential candidates for future job opportunities;
- Ensure pre-employment steps, including reference checks and background and drug tests are completed in a timely fashion;
- Submit candidates, providing information needed to facilitate hiring decisions, including salary recommendations;
- Prepare candidates before interviews with clients.
Requirements:
- BA or BS degree preferred;
- Travel as required, up to 5%;
- Ability to manage the first hiring stages (job posting, sourcing, screening, interviewing);
- Solid organizational and time-management abilities;
- Proven work experience as a Staffing Agency Recruiter, Internal Recruiter or similar role with exposure to filling IT / Tech roles;
- Strong internet research skills. Proficiency in MS office, including Word and Excel. Ability to grasp cutting edge technologies;
- 5-8 years professional experience in a staffing, corporate, recruiting or professional sales environment;
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills with an emphasis on tact and diplomacy;
- Knowledge of resume databases and Applicant Tracking Systems;
- Experience with various interview formats, including phone screening calls, in-person interviews and group interviews;
- Excellent relationship building and communication skills;
- Ability to develop customer relationship management, consultative and negotiation skills;
- Experience evaluating candidates for various roles and seniority levels.
