Our company is looking for a Transportation Coordinator to join our team.

Responsibilities:

  • Review work orders and resolve issues with delivery date and schedules;
  • Effectively communicate with sales staff;
  • Ensure compliant with city and state regulations on weight, length, height, & width – issue permits as necessary;
  • Communicate and track shipment issues to ensure proper feedback to the carriers;
  • Assist with general transportation projects;
  • Process transit pass requests and cancellations, audit passes, answer employee questions;
  • Monitor the shared commute team email and reply to employee tickets as applicable;
  • Ensure compliant with city and state regulations on weight, length, height, & width – issue permits as necessary;
  • Work cross functionally with multiple teams and vendors across the business to provide excellent service;
  • Answer incoming telephone calls and evaluate/direct calls to appropriate personnel;
  • Prepares to address carrier and customer issues in a timely manner;
  • Performs other duties as required;
  • Maintains daily records and prepares documentation for all truck shipments;
  • Maintaining records of maintenance and useage of vehicles and program services;
  • Assisting with the continual development, implementation and evaluation of all transportation programs for all Senior Action constituents.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree;
  • Resourceful and proactive;
  • Ability to multi-task and work effectively in a fast-paced environment;
  • Customer service experience is a plus;
  • TDM experience encouraged;
  • Basic computer skills including Excel;
  • Valid driver’s license;
  • Bachelor’s degree in Logistics, Supply Chain, Finance, or other related field;
  • Individual must be organized, neat, clean and consistent;
  • Advanced knowledge and high proficiency using PC based applications, specifically Excel, is required; experience with OTM and SAP preferred;
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills;
  • Must be in good mental and physical condition;
  • Must be able to operate standard office equipment, i.e., scanner, copier, fax machine, calculator, etc;
  • Must have a full understanding of inventory control, counting procedures, products and movement;
  • Must be able to communicate well in a professional manner, possess excellent phone skills, read and understand written instructions.
