VP of Accounting Job Description Template
Our company is looking for a VP of Accounting to join our team.
Responsibilities:
- Supervise accounting team of five (5) people;
- Approve all transactional accounting;
- Process payroll through ADP;
- Work closely with outside CPA on tax reporting;
- Administer employee insurance, 401K and other benefits;
- Manage and oversee all internal controls;
- Prepares monthly management reports;
- Oversee all aspects of accounting and reporting for multiple entities.
Requirements:
- Demonstrated experience in building and/or leading an Accounting function at scale is required;
- Experience operating in a leveraged environment preferred;
- Must maintain strict confidentiality;
- Strong leadership skills, both direct and indirect. Ability to work well cross-functionally and influence across the organization;
- Adjusts easily to change, learns quickly, and understands how internal and external factors impact decisions;
- Experience integrating acquired companies preferred;
- Public company experience preferred. Experience in growth stage company required;
- Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting required;
- Demonstrated ability to prioritize and multitask in a fluid, fast-paced environment;
- Experience operating in a Private Equity environment preferred;
- Proficient in Microsoft Excel;
- Previous experience in supervisory role;
- Ability to juggle multiple priorities while maintaining strong attention to detail;
- 15+ years of accounting experience required;
- Knowledge of NetSuite and Concur a plus.
