Our company is looking for a Child and Family Therapist to join our team.

Responsibilities:

  • Keep accurate client records according to JFS and best practice;
  • Provide ongoing clinical counseling to children and families;
  • Attend supervision, case consultations, staff meetings, and staff development activities;
  • Other duties as requested by supervisor;
  • Function as part of the JFS team to meet the needs of clients and the agency;
  • Design and facilitate support groups and psychoeducational offerings.

Requirements:

  • Bilingual in Spanish preferred;
  • Two (2) years of experience and Florida Licensure preferred;
  • Must have a Valid Florida Driver’s License with full-time access to a reliable vehicle (proof of vehicle insurance is required.);
  • Experience providing therapy to children and families in community-based settings strongly preferred;
  • Registration with the BBS or Board of Psychology required;
  • Knowledge of psychodynamic and evidence-based practices in mental health preferred;
  • Experience with Medi-Cal and/or Avatar documentation is desirable;
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills;
  • Ability be a team player with a welcoming attitude;
  • Strong organizational and time management skills;
  • Strong individual and family assessment skills and proficiency using DSM-5 and ICD-10 desirable;
  • Possession of a valid CA Driver’s license and access to a vehicle with proper insurance.
