Our company is looking for a Intact Family Caseworker to join our team.

Responsibilities:

  • In-person contact with children, biological parents, foster/relative care providers as required;
  • Scheduling and facilitation of required Child and Family Team meetings, engaging children and families in the process;
  • Monitoring parent-child interactions as required;
  • Transporting clients as needed;

Requirements:

  • Submit to fingerprinting and pass required background checks, including CANTS, LEADS, Sexual Abuse Registry, Illinois State Police, and FBI;
  • Ability to pass required IDCFS Child Welfare Employee licensure (CWEL) as a requirement for ongoing employment with LSSI;
  • Ability to communicate in a clear, comprehensible manner;
  • Basic understanding of strengths-based, trauma informed interaction with clients;
  • A minimum of one year of child welfare experience preferred;
  • A minimum of a Bachelor’s degree in social work, or an identified human service field;
  • Minimum of 21 years of age per DCFS regulation;
  • The position requires a BSW with at least two years’ experience in child welfare work, or an MSW;
  • Related degrees in human services may be considered;
  • The salary range is competitive, and is based on experience;
  • State child welfare licensure is preferable but may be obtained upon hire.
