Intact Family Caseworker Job Description Template
Our company is looking for a Intact Family Caseworker to join our team.
Responsibilities:
- In-person contact with children, biological parents, foster/relative care providers as required;
- Scheduling and facilitation of required Child and Family Team meetings, engaging children and families in the process;
- Monitoring parent-child interactions as required;
- Transporting clients as needed;

Requirements:
- Submit to fingerprinting and pass required background checks, including CANTS, LEADS, Sexual Abuse Registry, Illinois State Police, and FBI;
- Ability to pass required IDCFS Child Welfare Employee licensure (CWEL) as a requirement for ongoing employment with LSSI;
- Ability to communicate in a clear, comprehensible manner;
- Basic understanding of strengths-based, trauma informed interaction with clients;
- A minimum of one year of child welfare experience preferred;
- A minimum of a Bachelor’s degree in social work, or an identified human service field;
- Minimum of 21 years of age per DCFS regulation;
- The position requires a BSW with at least two years’ experience in child welfare work, or an MSW;
- Related degrees in human services may be considered;
- The salary range is competitive, and is based on experience;
- State child welfare licensure is preferable but may be obtained upon hire.
