Our company is looking for a Patient Financial Advocate to join our team.

Responsibilities:

  • Establish and maintain supportive and cooperative relationships with patients and site personnel;
  • Provide financial counseling to patients during site intake process;
  • Research and maintain knowledge of HMO, PPO, Medicaid, Medicare, and commercial healthcare plans;
  • Determine patient’s ability to pay and advises on insurance benefits and patient financial responsibility;
  • Responsible for accurate and timely verification of insurance;
  • Maintain documents, reports, and records in order to comply with internal compliance and billing as well as state, federal, and local laws.

Requirements:

  • 2+ years of experience in medical billing;
  • High school diploma or equivalent;
  • Demonstrated potential ability to perform the essential functions as outlined above;
  • 2+ years of Customer Service experience;
  • Ability to work weekends;
  • Knowledge of billing, insurance, and medical billing process;
  • Ability to clearly and effectively communicate in both written and verbal form;
  • Ability to work independently and accurately with little supervision;
  • GED/High School Diploma and 2 years’ experience;
  • Experience in a pharmacy setting;
  • Strong communication and customer service skills;
  • Computer proficiencies, including Microsoft office;
  • Ability to obtain registration Missouri pharmacy technician registration.
