Registered Behavior Technician (RBT) Job Description Template
Our company is looking for a Registered Behavior Technician (RBT) to join our team.
Responsibilities:
- Provide 1:1 Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA) therapy;
- Accept and implement feedback provided by BCBA for program integrity;
- Teach socially acceptable replacement behaviors;
- Provide 1:1 ABA therapy for children with Autism and related disorders;
- Communicate client progress with supervising BCBA;
- As applicable, provide transportation related to the implementation of activities as directed by the treatment plan;
- Collect behavior data as specified in client behavior support plan;
- Implement behavior therapy techniques as instructed by the Behavioral Services Manager and Behavior Specialist;
- Review data and progress reports with Behavioral Services Manager and Behavior Specialist in order to strategize program improvements;
- Document interventions and progress towards goals accurately and in a timely manner;
- Assists in the creation of instructional materials;
- Openly flexible and responsible in working with multiple children at one time, when necessary;
- Attends a variety of in-service training sessions and other related meetings;
- Desire to work for / with children with autism and other developmental disabilities;
- Clear Criminal Background.
Requirements:
- Clean background check;
- Must be a Certified Behavior Technician by BACB.com or have registered to take the RBT exam;
- Must be a U. S. citizen, legal/permanent resident, or have a valid employment authorization;
- Must be certified in OSHA, HIV, HIPAA, CPR, and First Aid, or be willing to get them;
- HS diploma required;
- One year experience working with children with developmental/ intellectual disabilities preferred;
- RBT certification preferred;
- Must be a team player;
- CPR/BLS certified (or willing to obtain prior to hiring);
- Minimum 1 year of experience working with children with Autism or related disorders preferred;
- Ability to juggle multiple tasks simultaneously;
- Current TB clearance;
- Outstanding interpersonal skills and high attention to detail;
- Desire to work for / with children with autism and other developmental disabilities;
- Clear Criminal Background.
