Our company is looking for a Staff Therapist to join our team.

Responsibilities:

  • Maintains compliance with all Covenant Kids policies, procedures, and regulatory requirements including all state and federal laws;
  • Assist in the development of Safety Plans for children as needed;
  • Reviews and supervises maintenance of complete and current records on each child and family in compliance with Child Placing Minimum Standards;
  • Provide staff development workshops and foster parent training on areas of expertise as needed or as directed;
  • Maintain caseload at level assigned by the Clinical Director;
  • Complete and report documentation accurately and in a timely manner;
  • Attends scheduled department staff and clinical meetings;
  • Maintain professional on-going training and licensure as an LPC, LMFT or LCSW as required by state licensing authority and agency requirements;
  • Maintain a flex schedule that includes availability to work on Saturdays as required;
  • Provide therapeutic support for children and families experiencing crisis and unstable situations;
  • Performs other duties and tasks as requested;
  • Review Psychological Evaluations of children on caseload to monitor implementation of recommendations;
  • Opens and processes mail / e-mail daily in a timely manner;
  • Answer phone, collect messages and respond to requests accurately and in a timely manner;
  • Represents Covenant Kids in the community by attending meetings and gatherings as required.

Requirements:

  • Ability to be on-call as necessary and respond immediately to on call pager or phone;
  • Ability to concentrate on moderate to fine detail with some interruption; ability to attend to tasks and functions for more than 60 minutes at a time;
  • Ability to deal with a variety of adults and children with a range of personalities and problems; maintain confidentiality;
  • Ability to perform moderately difficult manipulation such as writing, typing, foot and hand-eye coordination required;
  • Ability work effectively under stress and remain flexible in changing situations;
  • Commitment to Christian principles and teachings both professionally and personally;
  • Ability to handle multiple tasks; self-starter; energetic; detail –oriented, with excellent organizational skills;
  • Must be fully licensed as LPC, LCSW, or LMFT;
  • Proficient knowledge of computer software necessary such as word processing, email, spreadsheets, and database is required;
  • Ability to motivate people; ability to develop and exercise good supervisory skills;
  • Ability to receive verbal instructions accurately with some background noise;
  • Ability to communicate effectively, both orally and in writing.
