Data Privacy Analyst Job Description Template
Our company is looking for a Data Privacy Analyst to join our team.
Responsibilities:
- Participates in vendor onboarding, tool stand-up, and roll-outs;
- Efficiently manages multiple projects with competing deadlines;
- Other duties as assigned;
- Assists in training activities for the enterprise for new processes, procedures or tools;
- Ensures work is of a quality standard and that processes are followed per those established by the company;
- Performs gap analysis as needed;
- Responsible for handling all data privacy requests from customers, coordinating with other departments where necessary;
- Assist in developing and maintaining FGA s privacy program, and related policies, procedures, documentation, and communication materials;
- Support FGA s Privacy Compliance strategy;
- Performs research as requested to support overall program requirements.
Requirements:
- Bachelor degree required, preferably in some type of business major. Other academic majors should be accompanied by relevant work experience;
- Working knowledge of Excel with the ability to write macros and create pivot tables, graphs, charts, etc;
- Ability to differentiate critical data from the noise in projects, processes, and procedures;
- Excellent written and verbal communications, and effective interpersonal skills;
- Demonstrated work ethic with a passion for Privacy, Cyber Security, Risk, and Compliance;
- Ability to create and analyze metrics to identify trends, gaps and issues;
- Above-average written, verbal, and interpersonal skills;
- Is passionate about learning and is interested in data protection and data governance;
- Knowledge of data governance, and experience with data mapping software a strong plus;
- Experience using OneTrust a plus;
- Not afraid to jump in and figure things out;
- Ability to critically think, analyze and problem solve, including experience translating concepts and requirements into tangible business solutions;
- CIPP/CIPT/CIPM Certification a plus, but not required;
- Ability to work independently and in a collaborative team environment;
- Awareness of legal and regulatory requirements (CCPA, HIPAA, FCRA) and security frameworks (CIS 20, NIST).
