IT Software Engineer Job Description Template
Our company is looking for a IT Software Engineer to join our team.
Responsibilities:
- Address critical IT related down situations by repairing or implementing workarounds;
- Coordinate and participate in any IT related “major event” affecting operations (i.e., post mortems and associated communication);
- Maximize efficiencies and drive change by following World Wide best known methods (BKMs);
- Design and build various support, maintenance, and metrics gathering utilities;
- Provide timely monitoring and reaction to line & IT system performance metrics/indicators;
- Collect, analyze and present data to support teams and at all levels of management;
- Provide high quality customer experience to the business;
- Build end-to-end software testing and DevOps capabilities;
- Demonstrate SW Engineering skills by creating permanent IT solutions for critical business needs;
- Define and make suggestions that improve production, engineering, and process related issues;
- Learn and/or develop new tools in the effort to maintain, troubleshoot, and support existing software.
Requirements:
- Strong written, verbal and presentation communication skills;
- The ability to solve problems across group boundaries;
- Focus on continuous improvement, results and driving work to achieve goals and objectives;
- Domains: C#, Perl, bash, Visual Basic (.NET), MSSQL, XML, Linux, Unix, Windows, Python, and HTML;
- Flexible to work across different schedules;
- Experience working in a professional team and/or customer environment.
