Our company is looking for a Junior Systems Administrator to join our team.

Responsibilities:

  • Manage user account creation and termination;
  • Install new server hardware and software per standardized documentation;
  • Document tasks performed and comply with Sarbanes-Oxley rules regarding documentation and security;
  • Supporting desk phones and mobiles;
  • Builds, configures, and troubleshoots software and hardware enhancements, application deployments and infrastructure up-grades;
  • Troubleshoot basic desktop environmental issues;
  • Conduct day-to-day system administration of the hardware and software for a modeling and simulation (M&S) system;
  • Support Desktop software i.e. Outlook, Word, Excel etc;
  • Maintain a constant level of support to all offices;
  • Troubleshoot networks;
  • Maintain data files and monitor system configuration to ensure data integrity;
  • Report IT status to government and program managers;
  • Certification;
  • Provide support to IT systems including day-to-day operations, monitoring and problem resolution for client/server/storage/network devices;
  • Provides support for implementation, troubleshooting, and maintenance of Information Technology (IT) systems.

Requirements:

  • Remote access technologies;
  • Backup/business continuity solutions;
  • Technology exam and certification completion;
  • Ability to perform basic Windows network administration (DNS, WINS, DHCP);
  • Ability to document tasks performed & comply with established technical and security procedures;
  • Knowledge of Active Directory Group Policy;
  • Basic level of network troubleshooting and analysis;
  • Experienced providing Help Desk Support/IT Support;
  • Microsoft Office experience;
  • Communicates orally and in writing, in meetings, working groups and project reviews with representatives at all levels of organizations;
  • Maintains and administer applications, operating systems, and hardware related to UNIX Workstation/Servers based operating systems;
  • ACTIVE TS/SCI with POLYGRAPH CLEARANCE;
  • Works with engineering teams that utilize Agile/SCRUM development practices;
  • Develops and implement documentation including policies, procedures, checklists, and guidance specific to related system;
  • Maintains/coordinates changes for connections to remote databases.
