Lab Support Technician Job Description Template
Our company is looking for a Lab Support Technician to join our team.
Responsibilities:
- Assists customers including answering phones and responding to customer inquiries;
- Enters, accesses and executes lab orders in the appropriate laboratory and electronic medical record system;
- Identifies patients using two identifiers;
- Cleans and maintains laboratory supplies and work area;
- Stock and maintain inventory for consumables, and equipment components;
- Washes laboratory glassware and instruments;
- Verify part dimensions or clearances to ensure conformance to specifications, using precision measuring instruments;
- Disassemble and modify devices housing to accommodate additional wiring, using hand tools and power tools fixtures;
- Ensures autoclave in good working condition and sterilizes glassware and instruments;
- Experience in circuit design and troubleshooting;
- Ability to Dead Bug an IC and wire it out for operation;
- Add “Fly Wires” to PCB’s at designated test locations with strain relief;
- Read blueprints, schematics, diagrams, and technical orders to determine methods and sequences of assembly;
- Ensures organization of fume hoods;
- Experience in laboratory services and in GXP environment.
Requirements:
- Able to assemble and repair builds and provide troubleshooting feedback to Engineers;
- Able to read 3D diagrams and schematics;
- IPC soldering certification;
- Expert micro soldering capabilities;
- AS Engineering Technician is preferred, if no degree 2-4 years of experience as a Engineering Technician;
- Basic computer skills (Microsoft office applications);
- Ability to wear a full-face respirator. (Daily use – must be clean shaven);
- Ability to lift 50 lbs. and higher weight (mechanical assistance devices are available);
- Previous experience in an industrial setting is preferred;
- High school diploma or general education degree (GED), preferred;
- Operate Rework Station;
- Nice to have Skills and Experience;
- Experienced Forklift operator preferred.
