New Product Introduction Engineer Job Description Template
Our company is looking for a New Product Introduction Engineer to join our team.
Responsibilities:
- Adeptly manage Samsara’s JDMs to deliver high-quality new products & key materials on time;
- Communicate project readiness, track major risks & corrective actions, & creatively problem solve issues that arrive during builds & production ramp;
- Collaborate with engineering on key component selection;
- Support reliability engineering validation process with Samsara engineers & manufacturers;
- Develop robust processes for analyzing field failures & implementing corrective actions with engineering or factory process team(s);
- Negotiate & communicate product cost(s) with key internal stakeholders;
- Drive Samsara pre-production builds from a technical, operational & materials-management perspective.
Requirements:
- Proven track record of effective 3rd party (JDM) communication & oversight;
- Attention to detail & ability to manage detailed build planning;
- 5+ years experience in hardware engineering or operations program management – proven ability to effectively manage factory build events & vendors;
- Self motivated, proactive, creative & critical problem solving capabilities;
- Strong organizational and communication skills;
- Ability to support international travel for build events.
