Senior IT Systems Administrator Job Description Template
Our company is looking for a Senior IT Systems Administrator to join our team.
Responsibilities:
- Managing and owning all FloQast corporate systems;
- Architect and administer large scale systems;
- Assist in system administration duties where assigned;
- Work closely with Security team to architect information security projects;
- Spearhead system related projects that drive efficiency;
- Monitoring system performance and troubleshooting issues;
- Perform other duties and special projects as needed;
- Assist in troubleshooting networks as needed;
- Ensuring security and efficiency of IT infrastructure.
Requirements:
- Recommends tools for use within business unit;
- Early adapter of new technology and processes, willingly considers new ideas & perspectives;
- Strong troubleshooting skills within the Servers OS as well as both networking and storage technologies;
- Provides resolutions to an assortment of problems of moderately complex scope;
- Follows established directions;
- Uses judgment within defined practices and procedures;
- Demonstrated ability to assist in writing policies, procedures, and create system documentation;
- Strong sense of ownership and urgency, organizational and time management skills, ability to multitask and prioritize work;
- Expertise with both Mac and Windows;
- Knowledge of VMWare, Cisco Switches/Routers, and Firewalls;
- Detail oriented with strong problem-solving and decision making skills;
- Prior SaaS experience is highly preferred;
- Understanding of network protocols such as TCP, UDP, IP, SSH, SMB, LDAP etc;
