Our company is looking for a Senior Linux Systems Administrator to join our team.

Responsibilities:

  • Design, implement, and evaluate current and future infrastructure initiatives for the highest level of efficiency and performance;
  • Perform new hardware and Linux OS installations, patching and upgrades;
  • Deliver resilient and robust designs – lead and participate in technical discussions across engineering and product teams;
  • Design and document SOPs (Standard Operating Procedures) for system administration activities;
  • Perform problem diagnosis, troubleshooting and resolution;
  • Maintain operating systems and associated infrastructure software.

Requirements:

  • Must have a minimum of 5 years Linux Systems Administration experience;
  • Certification on the OS, AWS, Azure will be a plus point;
  • Significant experience designing, building, configuring, and troubleshooting RedHat Linux servers;
  • 3+ years experience working with various Linux distributions (Red Hat/CentOS preferred);
  • Collaborate with DevOps team to roll out and automate configuration & release of builds to Production;
  • Bachelors of Science degree or Technology degree;
  • Familiarity and operational knowledge of open source systems in a mixed Windows/Linux environment;
  • 2+ years experience with server virtualization technologies (e.g. VMWare, Hyper-V, Xen, etc.);
  • Bachelor’s Degree in Science or Technology;
  • Develop tools and scripts to assist with routine maintenance tasks;
  • Provide ongoing management & support for Market Leader infrastructure;
  • Significant experience building, configuring and maintaining physical & Virtualized servers;
  • Maintain site servers and hosted web applications, ensuring uptime and site responsiveness;
  • Manage Linux and related open source systems (apache, bind, postfix, memcached, mysql, etc.);
  • Proactive self-starter with the ability drive projects through to completion.
