Senior QA Analyst Job Description Template
Our company is looking for a Senior QA Analyst to join our team.
Responsibilities:
- automation experience is required to create automation scripts;
- creating test data for testing and Execute test cases (manual or automated) and analyze and record results;
- reviewing user stories and/or requirements to document test cases and execute them and document the results;
- working with cross-functional teams to ensure quality throughout the software development lifecycle;
- Maintain regular and predictable attendance;
- Manage test data by implementing and maintaining data driven tests;
- Develop test plans, test cases and test scripts utilizing appropriate toolset to cover system functionality as completely as possible;
- Work with the Product team to understand functional requirements, and translate them into well-structured Test Plans;
- Executing Weekly Regression Testing of existing platform features;
- Assist the Director of AURA Implementations in managing the Quality Assurance process;
- Analyze and report on defects utilizing appropriate defect tracking software;
- Report progress to Director of AURA Implementations;
- Identifying, reviewing and prioritizing automated testing opportunities;
- Assist the Director of AURA Implementations in researching and recommending appropriate testing tools;
- Mentor and teach, as appropriate, other BA and QA Analysts in the use of approved tools and procedures.
Requirements:
- ISTQB Certified Tester (at least Foundation Level) preferred;
- 8+ years of related work experience;
- Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science or Similar;
- Extensive experience in Design, development and implementation of QA strategy;
- Automation testing experience;
- Scripting Skills (Java): Strong scripting and framework creation;
- Hands-on experience with coding test automation scripting using tools such as VSTS, Win Runner, QTP, or Selenium;
- Database knowledge;
- Experience with Informix, SQL Server, MySQL, Aurora is a plus;
- 4+ years Experience in Point of Sales systems testing;
- Knowledge of cloud technologies (Azure, AWS, etc.) a plus;
- Experience with Quality Center and JIRA;
- Strong Experience in creating test scripts from scratch;
- Lead, motivate, and engage team members to cultivate a culture of excellence;
- 4+ years Experience with writing complex SQL queries.
