Our company is looking for a Senior Staff Engineer – Systems Engineering to join our team.
Responsibilities:
- Plan and execute component and engine test programs and utilize the results to validate engine designs, systems and analytical models;
- Strong interaction with the customer to shape system-level requirements;
- Participate on teams assigned to address organizational initiatives and generic issues;
- Provide technical leadership to personnel supporting the assigned project;
- Maintain system-level metrics such as cost and weight;
- Interact with Qualification authorities to ensure product qualifications are meet and certified;
- Provide technical consultation to cross-functional teams throughout the business to improve or resolve key business issues;
- Identify, develop, evaluate, and introduce engineering solutions to meet near term and long range engineering needs;
- Lead and provide the key technical direction to projects with critical business impact;
- Provide technical consultation on product problems throughout the business including supplier and field support;
- Provide technical guidance, direction and training to new and experienced engineers, specialists, technicians and co-ops;
- Accountable for oversight of interface control documentation within the specified responsibility area;
- Some travel will be required to support the test program;
- Own the strategic plan for the engine model, including engine configuration, maintenance plan, and growth opportunities;
- Develop and execute qualification plans that satisfy the certification requirements of the product.
Requirements:
- Minimum of 8 years of experience in engineering;
- 3 years of experience in performance, operability or controls ELIGIBILITY REQUIREMENT(S);
- Ability to obtain and maintain a DoD Security Secret Clearance;
- Bachelor’s degree in Engineering from an accredited university or college;
- Ability and willingness to obtain active US Government Security Clearance;
- Bachelor of Science in Engineering from an accredited university or college;
- Bachelor’s degree in Engineering from an accredited university;
- Minimum of 2 years of experience in a program leadership role ELIGIBILITY REQUIREMENT(S);
- Ability and willingness to obtain / acquire a US Security Clearance;
- Ability and willingness to travel for the support of onsite customer visits up to 4 times per year;
- Current active US Department of Defense Security Secret Clearance;
- Minimum of 8 years of experience in an engineering position ELIGIBILITY REQUIREMENT(S);
- A minimum of 8 years of experience in an engineering capacity;
- A mixed of HW /FW /SW experience. Having s trong programming skills in C/C++ and Python a major plus;
- MSEE degree in Electrical Engineering, 8 or more-year experience in data communication system development and optimization .
