Senior Systems Analyst Job Description Template
Our company is looking for a Senior Systems Analyst to join our team.
Responsibilities:
- Reviews and analyzes the effectiveness and efficiency of existing systems and develops strategies for improving or further leveraging these systems;
- Participates in code reviews and continual application improvement meetings. Demonstrates coding and design techniques in staff meetings;
- Develop and monitor project estimates and present them to users;
- Provides technical assistance and mentoring to team members;
- Reviews team members work prior to release and ensures work and documentation meets established standards, completeness and timeliness;
- Plan a system flow from the ground up;
- Develop criteria and requirements for analytical studies;
- Perform testing and deploy systems;
- Takes the lead in planning, designing, and development of new applications and enhancements to existing applications;
- Ensures compatibility and interoperability of in-house computing systems;
- Impact on innovations and changes;
- Provides user and system documentation using techniques such as flow charts, diagrams, specifications, etc;
- Investigates and resolves complex issues;
- Aid in the research and resolution of day-to-day problems;
- Develop general design, detailed systems and programs specifications, employing the available technology in an efficient, accurate manner.
Requirements:
- MCSE certification is a plus;
- Other duties as assigned;
- 4+ years hands on experience with VMware ESXi;
- Bachelors’ degree in Information Systems (or equivalent) preferred;
- Skill and experience with Red Hat Enterprise Linux in an SAP environment;
- 5-8+ years of hands on experience with Microsoft Windows Server as a Sr. Systems Engineer;
- 8+ years of experience in the IT/IT Related Industry;
- VMware VCP certification is a plus;
- Applying concepts of fractions, percentages, ratios, and proportions to practical solutions;
- Experience in designing and developing automated test frameworks;
- Experience working independently and as part of a team in researching data, developing analytical techniques and methodologies;
- Experience developing RESTful APIs based on Microservices Architecture;
- Must have an Active DoD Top Secret Clearance or recently held a Top Secret that can be re-instated;
- A BS or BA degree in a relevant technical discipline is required;
- Strong skills in core Java, server-side Java technologies.
