Our company is looking for a Senior Systems Design Engineer to join our team.

Responsibilities:

  • Simulating and verifying the performance of these implementations with other teams;
  • Development and debugging of bit and cycle accurate models of these algorithms;
  • Developing practical implementations of high – speed transceiver algorithms, carefully architected for low-power , high-throughput , and robustness;
  • Chip bring-up, performance testing/evaluation, and trouble-shooting problems;
  • Functional analysis, architecture definition, trade studies, and requirement definition;
  • Development and conduct of informal and formal design reviews such as SRR, PDR, and CDR;
  • Lead identification and implementation of system engineering best practices and tools;
  • Mentorship of junior engineers;
  • Management of requirements traceability between architectural levels via a SW tool (e.g., DOORS, Rational Test Manager, etc.);
  • Provide key system engineering metrics to project and company leadership (e.g., TPMs, requirements volatility).

Requirements:

  • Extensive experience with requirement management tools; experience with MBSE tools desired;
  • Experience in designing power conversion equipment and working in a high power environment desired;
  • Outstanding written communication skills;
  • Extensive experience in concept and architecture development including trade studies and requirements development and decomposition;
  • Strong verbal communication skills for internal and customer presentation;
  • Ability to obtain a Secret clearance;
  • Experience with statistical analysis methods/approaches and tools (e.g., DOE, Minitab);
  • Strong background in structured problem solving approaches/methodologies;
  • 9+ years of experience in engineering and management of complex technical systems development and production (medium voltage equipment design a plus).
