Senior Tester Job Description Template
Our company is looking for a Senior Tester to join our team.
Responsibilities:
- Perform testing and document the actual results as needed;
- Have the ability to interact with both technical and non technical individuals; interactions may include educating, persuading and negotiating;
- Assist the Expert with managing the work of Testers during test preparation and execution activities;
- Have the ability to work across multiple projects and teams at the same time;
- Maintain and update the test cases and test scripts, track defects and provide testing and status reports to the Expert;
- Translate business requirements into testable requirements, using test methodologies and actions;
- Report defects to appropriate team members, monitor defect resolution efforts and track successes;
- Utilize test tools, Acxiom test methodologies, best practices and standard quality assurance processes;
- Works with the Expert to coordinate the development, updating, and maintenance of test cases;
- Analyze defects to determine root cause;
- Have experience in working with both Product and software development and customer solution implementations;
- Ensure final documents are usable and of high quality;
- Establish, communicate, and maintain documentation standards, and provide training where required;
- Create test cases and test plans for integration and user acceptance testing (UAT);
- Collaborate with systems and development staff to collect and interpret technical information.
Requirements:
- Experience with Microsoft Office tools and familiarity with SharePoint and Jira ;
- Experience with accessibility standards;
- Experience with load testing, backend testing, and performance testing;
- Highly self-motivated and directed;
- Excellent knowledge of SQL for analysis, reporting, and data corrections;
- Exceptional oral and written communication skills;
- Experience working on complex 24/7 mission critical systems;
- Experience with automated testing, developing and running test scrips using tools such as Katalon and Selenium;
- Hands-on technical writing and editing experience, with specific experience in documenting information technology software and systems;
- 3 + years equivalent work experience ;
- Experience with being part of Agile scrum teams ;
- Experinece with the Healthcare Claims process and testing is preferred;
- Hands-on creating and executing test cases , test plans , and documenting test results ;
- Proven analytical and problem-solving abilities with s uperior attention to detail;
- Experience with testing SOAP and REST web services using tools such as SoapUI and Postman.
