Bridge Inspection Team Leader Job Description Template
Our company is looking for a Bridge Inspection Team Leader to join our team.
Responsibilities:
- Technical compliance;
- Review previous inspection reports and plan field operations;
- Direct other field members;
- Perform inspection work and compile reports;
- Enforce safe operations in field;
- Liaison with client field/facility staff, assist with critical condition findings;
- Conducts safety inspections of assigned bridges and prepares written reports of the conditions of the structures;
- Performs or leads in-depth inspections using non-destructive testing methods, mechanized access equipment and/or climbing gear;
- Coordinates with bridge owners and other agencies on inspection schedules, traffic control, railroad access, navigational channels, etc;
- Performs other duties as assigned or required.
Requirements:
- OSHA 10 or 30 Construction Certified;
- Active New Jersey PE License Preferred;
- Must be able, and willing,to travel on short notice;
- Currently approved as a DOT Team Leader;
- NDT certification;
- Physically fit, capable of lifting and carrying 75 lbs and wearing up to 90 lbs;
- SPRAT level 1 or higher;
- Ability and experience to lead the work of others, communicate and maintain proper working relationships;
- Sound, ethical character;
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills;
- Active New York State PE License;
- Current FHWA/NHI Bridge Inspection Training (2-week Bridge Safety Training and/or Refresher courses);
- Must be able to work in the United States without sponsorship;
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite;
- Strong attention to detail.
