Our company is looking for a Chief Inspector to join our team.

Responsibilities:

  • Coordinate site inspections of required items by the design EOR and the Office of State Building Inspector (OSBI);
  • Coordinate with the Engineer of Record (EOR) the review of submittals, shop drawings and working drawings submitted by the contractor.

Requirements:

  • Familiarity with DOT 192, FERC and OSHA regulations;
  • Word and Excel Computer skills;
  • Project experience with urban natural gas pipeline construction;
  • Experience interpreting digital / film radiography of welds and pipe;
  • Complete Company OQ courses with a satisfactory score to be qualified;
  • Ability to read construction drawings, alignment sheets and valve maps and translate to actual field constructability;
  • Ability to read and implement the OPM or TPC;
  • Experience coordinating multiple contractors and inspectors across disciplines as Chief Inspector;
  • Demonstrated abilitity to exercise responsible and ethical decision-making regarding company funds, resources and conduct;
  • Minimum of 2 years supervisory experience within construction inspection;
  • Qualified Compliance Inspector of Stormwater (QCIS) / Certified Erosion, Sediment and Stormwater Inspector (CESSWI);
  • Bachelor of Science in Engineering or Construction Management;
  • Excellent understanding in the interpretation of construction contracts including drawings, specifications, codes, standards, etc;
  • Minimum of 8 years field experience in construction of steel pipes and related facilities;
  • Bachelor’s Degree in related field.
