Electrical Maintenance Mechanic Job Description Template
Our company is looking for a Electrical Maintenance Mechanic to join our team.
Responsibilities:
- Determine the cause of mechanical breakdowns on manufacturing equipment and return equipment to proper operating order in minimum time;
- Order spare parts, replacement parts and other materials required through group leader, stockroom, or supervisor;
- Work with minimal supervision in a team environment;
- Maintain required maintenance logs, time sheets, blue prints on other documents used in performing maintenance functions;
- Completely assemble or disassemble production lines or support equipment as required for repairs or installations;
- Complete all required safety work orders and report back to supervisor upon completion;
- Communicate and work effectively and positively with all co-workers;
- Make all necessary mechanical and basic electrical adjustments to production lines or support equipment to insure proper operation;
- Assist and train other maintenance personnel;
- Perform electrical troubleshooting on; AC & DC motor drives, distribution panels, solenoids, relays, and other related devices;
- Follow all safety guidelines for lockout / tag out set forth by department and plant.
Requirements:
- Attention to detail required;
- Able to read blue prints, specifications and building plans;
- Able to organize time effectively;
- Able to lift a maximum of 50 pounds;
- High school diploma or equivalent (AAS in Mechanical/Electrical field preferred);
- Able to work overtime as required;
- Able to work effectively with co-workers in a team environment;
- 2-5 years industrial maintenance experience.
