Our company is looking for a Electrical Technician to join our team.
Responsibilities:
- Install, Inspect, Test, and Repair Electrical Equipment;
- Other tasks as may be assigned relevant to the trade;
- Able to instruct employees in a junior classification within the trade;
- Must be able to climb up and down as well as work using a ladder;
- Must be able to work without supervision;
- Must have thorough knowledge of 12V and 24V, 600 V and air conditioning systems;
- Must be able to work from blueprints, process sheets, schematics, and instructions as required;
- Must perform work allocated;
- Must be able to bend, stoop, and reach;
- Must be able to work in a team environment;
- Good communication skills needed;
- Must have general computer skills and knowledge of multi-plex systems;
- You will fulfill the lead role for your discipline wiring automated equipment;
- Able to trouble shoot 12V, 24V 600v including air conditioning systems;
- Ability to adapt to change.
Requirements:
- Advanced troubleshooting of electrical / electronic/ pneumatic control circuits;
- Use critical thinking skills to identify and resolve production issues;
- Fabrication of production and prototype electrical parts, connectors, wiring, harnesses and modules using specialized hand tools;
- Able to work in a team setting to meet production schedules;
- Demonstrated ability to make timely decisions, applying good technical judgment;
- Working around live voltages;
- Assembly and installation of production and prototype electrical control modules and systems;
- Demonstrated interpersonal skills to effectively communicate within the company;
- Able to work in a demanding production enviroment;
- Computer skillsets in MS Office – Excel & Word;
- Demonstrated ability to plan, organize and manage time to complete simultaneous assignments in a matrix, team environment;
- Perform a variety of electrical component and module performance and endurance tests;
- AC and DC control circuit fundamentals;
- Minimum of a 2-year post-secondary degree, with preference for degrees in electrical or instrumentation. OR 4-year post-secondary degree;
- OR 4-year apprenticeship in related work.
