Our company is looking for a Electro-Mechanical Technician to join our team.
Responsibilities:
- Design and installation of new or upgraded equipment and machinery, such as conduit, wiring, power distribution, machine controls, motors etc;
- Installation, inspection, calibration, repair and maintenance of industrial weighing and measuring equipment;
- Assist other maintenance personnel with repairs as needed, especially in particular areas o expertise;
- Perform safety audits and training;
- Must be willing to work overtime and be on a rotating on-call service;
- Document work performed including test data into job specific Work Control Packages;
- Develop and maintain relationship with account managers to keep them informed of sales opportunities you might see;
- Assemble sub-sea components utilizing two-part Polyurethane and epoxy adhesives;
- Troubleshooting and repairing PLC equipment;
- Hydro-statically test completed products using on-site test equipment;
- Complete maintenance and repair logs;
- Providing on-the-job training to employees;
- Communicate with Service Manager on any unusual problems encountered or for any technical assistance needed;
- Resolve assembly problems that may require altering dimensions or tolerances;
- Knowledge and experience in operating all types of hand and power tools while adhering to safety instructions.
Requirements:
- Develop and manage electrical and mechanical solutions;
- Build electro-mechanical circuits, wire and program PLC;
- Reassembled electro-mechanical equipment for proper output and operation;
- AA degree preferred or Equivalent Experience;
- Have clear understanding of basic electrical principles;
- Installing machinery and mechanical equipment;
- Complete Work orders following the proper procedure;
- Comply will all Plant and Pactiv wide policies and procedures;
- Knowledge of mechanical systems, pneumatics, hydraulics, machine drive systems, stainless welding and fabrication;
- Perform inspection on a daily basis to determine startup problems;
- Maintain knowledge of drawings, blueprints, schematics and inspection manuals;
- A thorough knowledge of electrical/ electronic components and equipment including the use;
- Perform regular and preventative maintenance on installed electro-mechanical equipment;
- Fill out progress forms and create reports for each task completed during the day;
- Install electric parts and hardware using equipment such as soldering irons.
