Entry Level Electrician Job Description Template
Our company is looking for a Entry Level Electrician to join our team.
Responsibilities:
- New industrial conduit, wire, sensor and equipment installations;
- Continual learning, from directed education and self-taught studies;
- Keeping track of parts and equipment using inventory management system;
- Repair and replacement of faulty electrical systems, sensors and equipment;
- Following company standards for food safety, sanitation, and Good Manufacturing Practices;
- Troubleshooting, recording and diagnosing a wide range of complicated electrical circuit problems using electrical meters and testers;
- Logging daily activities and communicating with other team members about problems and solutions;
- Preventative/Predictive Maintenance work orders.
Requirements:
- Knowledge of national and local electrical codes;
- At least 1 year electrical experience preferred;
- High School Diploma or GED;
- Ability to perform basic math calculations (add, subtract, multiply and divide);
- Understand and perform safe electrical work practices;
- Ability to read, understand and follow written instructions and manuals;
- Basic understanding of PLCs, HMIs, Instrumentation, industrial motor control and sensors;
- Must be willing to work overtime, weekends, swing and night shifts when needed;
- Tenacity, must stick with the problem until it’s solved;
- Competent understanding and use of various electrical meters and testers;
- Basic computer literacy. Having basic understanding of Microsoft Outlook, Word and Excel;
- Analytical Problem Solving;
- Competent use of ordinary hand tools, electrical tools, conduit benders and threaders;
- Rigid conduit bending, threading installation;
- Must communicate and work well with team members. Must speak clearly, listen well and cooperate.
