Our company is looking for a Fire Sprinkler Technician to join our team.

Responsibilities:

  • Conduct routine preventative maintenance on sprinkler fire suppression systems;
  • Maintain good customer relationships;
  • Manual labor including lifting, climbing and clean up;
  • Testing of fire pumps;
  • Service and inspections of wet, dry and pre-action fire suppression systems;
  • Must be able to perform maintenance and repairs on all above systems;
  • Flow testing of fire hydrants;
  • Installs, maintains, repairs, or replaces fire sprinkler equipment and systems in strict accordance with applicable codes and standards;
  • Highly organized, motivated team player;
  • Documentation of fire sprinkler systems by use of handheld device as well as documentation of related device(s) associated to fire alarm systems;
  • Servicing of wet based fire sprinkler systems;
  • Preferred experience in testing Backflow prevention devices;
  • Interact with customers in a mature and professional manner;
  • Preferred experience in servicing and testing Portable fire extinguishers;
  • Ability to follow direction and work independently when needed.

Requirements:

  • Multiple system experience required, such as, Dry Systems, Wet Systems, Deluge, Pre-Action and others;
  • Mechanically inclined;
  • Experience is preferred but willing to train the right candidate;
  • Strong attention to detail;
  • Valid driver’s license;
  • Minimum 1 year experience in Fire Sprinkler Inspections;
  • Preferred Certificate of fitness for City of Portland for: Water based fire sprinkler systems;
  • Attention to detail is a must due to the nature of life safety testing;
  • Preferred State of Oregon backflow testing certificate;
  • Reliable transportation is a must including valid driver’s license;
  • Positive attitude and willingness to learn as the job progresses with the intent of improvement to become a lead inspector in the future;
  • Must be a self-starter and able to work independently;
  • Ability to install and t rouble shoot fire sprinkler systems;
  • Arizona Sprinkler Fitter Certificate Preferred;
  • Ability to complete accurate and timely maintenance and work records.
