Industrial Maintenance Electrician Job Description Template
Our company is looking for a Industrial Maintenance Electrician to join our team.
Responsibilities:
- Experience as an industrial electrician in a high-speed manufacturing or technical environment required;
- Ideal candidates will have ability to inspect, maintain, troubleshoot, repair, install and update electrical systems and components;
- Must have own hand tools;
- Knowledge of PLCs (Modicon and Allen Bradley) and VFDs in a manufacturing environment is preferred;
- Knowledge of HMIs is preferred;
- Troubleshooting press machines, Fanuc robotics, and several automated electrical components;
- Diagnosing malfunctioning apparatus such as transformers, motors and gear boxes and then replacing the damaged parts;
- Installing power supply wiring and conduit for newly installed machines and equipment such as robots, conveyors and programmable controllers;
- Maintenance and repair of existing electrical infrastructure;
- Replace and repair defective elements using various types of hand or power tools;
- General building repair and maintenance;
- The employee must be able to tolerate exposure to flour and yeast materials;
- Use testing devices to diagnose problems with wiring, fixtures, or other electrical equipment;
- The employee must be able to work in a cold and hot environment;
- Install and service industrial motors, lighting, and electrical control systems, and keep machines and mechanical equipment in good working condition.
Requirements:
- High standard of integrity and professionalism;
- Comprehend schematic diagrams, blueprints and other specifications required by our client;
- Strong working knowledge of job site safety as well as ability to complete a company specific safety orientation;
- Experience working with hand tools, power tool and electronic test equipment;
- Ability to follow electrical code manuals to perform maintenance and repair on industrial machinery and equipment;
- 4 years of related industry experience ( mechanics and millwrights );
- Drug free at all times;
- Knowledge of HMIs is preferred;
- Knowledge of NEC, OSHA, electronic test equipment, single and three phase electrical systems and wiring procedures to 600V required;
- Ability to read and interpret mechanical blueprints, schematics and parts specifications;
- Knowledge of PLCs (Modicon and Allen Bradley) and VFDs in a manufacturing environment is preferred;
