Journeyman Plumber Job Description Template
Our company is looking for a Journeyman Plumber to join our team.
Responsibilities:
- Testing pipes by filling them with water or air and reads gauges to determine whether system is working accurately;
- Affix clamps, screws, brazing, soldering, welds, etc. to pipes and tubes;
- Test plumbing and other installed fixtures to ensure proper functioning;
- Keep detailed notes and create work reports documenting projects;
- Confirm pipe system is air/watertight by performing pressure tests;
- Follows health and safety standards and complies with building codes;
- Assembles fittings and valves for installation;
- Invoice customers via tablet and collect payments;
- Chooses plumbing materials based on budget, location, and intended uses of building;
- Knowledge of tankless water heaters is appreciated;
- Writes a report documenting the problem and summary of actions taken;
- Installs supports for pipes, equipment, and fixtures prior to installation;
- Unloading and carrying materials to the jobsite;
- Installing fittings and components above and in ground;
- We do NOT provide training, must have experience.
Requirements:
- High standard of integrity and professionalism;
- Drug free at all times;
- 4 years of plumbing experience;
- Experience reading technical designs and blueprints;
- Valid plumbing license;
- Available to work on call and respond immediately to plumbing emergencies;
- Expert knowledge in piping and ventilation systems;
- In-depth knowledge of maintenance and repairs of plumbing systems;
- 4 years of plumbing experience in commercial/industrial work;
- 2 years of plumbing experience;
- Tools of your trade;
- Experience working with equipment such as: boom lifts, scissor lifts, and forklifts;
- Ability to pass a background check and drug test;
- OSHA a plus or will be provided;
- Drug free at all times and have a valid driver’s license.
