Licensed Journeyman Electrician Job Description Template
Our company is looking for a Licensed Journeyman Electrician to join our team.
Responsibilities:
- Directing or training workers to install, maintain, or repair electrical wiring, equipment, or fixtures;
- Maintaining current electrician’s license or identification card to meet governmental regulations;
- Troubleshooting electrical components, wiring diagrams, transformers, motors, panels, and circuits;
- Installing power supply wiring and conduit such as: EMT, O-CAL, Rigid conduit, MC cable, strut, cable trays;
- Inspecting systems, equipment, or components to identify hazards, defects, or the need for adjustment or repair, and to ensure compliance with codes;
- Terminate;
- Pulling wire;
- Install fixtures;
- Bend Pipe;
- Bend Conduit.
Requirements:
- High standard of integrity and professionalism;
- Ability to follow electrical code manuals to install and repair electrical systems;
- Valid driver’s license;
- Reliable transportation;
- Must be local and live within 60 miles of Medford, OR;
- 4 years’ experience in electrical project installations;
- Position requires electricians hand tools;
- Advanced electrical knowledge required;
- Have working knowledge of programs;
- Drug free at all times;
- Work in all elements (heat, cold, rain, snow, etc.) daily;
- Perform work at heights from ladders, scaffolds, aerial lifts, cat walks, roofs, or other areas occasionally or as job requires;
- Able to positively identify colors of wires;
- Work required schedule (may be required to work nights and weekends to meet construction deadlines or handle emergencies);
- Understand and perform basic math functions and tape measurement.
