Our company is looking for a Maintenance Technician – 2nd Shift to join our team.

Responsibilities:

  • Perform machinist duties and use of welders, acetylene torches and brazing or soldering equipment;
  • Comply with all safety rules, policies and procedures;
  • Perform other related tasks as directed by management;
  • Perform basic plumbing, electrical maintenance and carpentry duties;
  • Participation in the site Safety and Health Program;
  • Use a variety of hand and power tools, electric meters and material handling equipment in performing duties;
  • Report all near-misses, incidents, injuries, illnesses, including mobile equipment or property damage;
  • Wear required personal protective equipment (PPE) and report any defective PPE;
  • Diagnose problems, replace or repair parts, test and make adjustments;
  • Maintain Alene standards of performance and comply with housekeeping, safety policies and procedures;
  • Reconcile work assignments at end of shift;
  • Perform lubrication procedures and electro-mechanical inspections for preventative maintenance;
  • May operate various machine shop equipment and material handling equipment;
  • Read, interpret and comprehend simple to complex technical information and blueprints to make;
  • servos, electrical switches/sensors, and mechanical drives.

Requirements:

  • Have basic knowledge of air compressors, pneumatic, hydraulic, chilled water, heating, ventilation, and air conditioning systems and equipment;
  • Utilize test equipment;
  • Ability with reading and understanding mechanical prints / drawings and electrical line diagrams / relay logic;
  • Maintain, install, set-up and troubleshoot DC and AC variable frequency drives;
  • Must have the ability to obtain permit for powered work platform (scissor lift);
  • Must have the ability to obtain powered industrial truck permit and safely operate various types of powered industrial trucks;
  • High school diploma or equivalent, two year technical vocational training and/or military experience;
  • Experience working in a broader enterprise/cross-division business unit model preferred;
  • Ability to leverage and/or engage others to accomplish projects;
  • Strong organizational and follow-up skills, as well as attention to detail;
  • Knowledge of PLC, servo and stepper controls, sensors, lasers and injection molding;
  • Multitasks, prioritizes and meets deadlines in timely manner;
  • Ability to work within a team and as an individual contributor in a fast-paced, changing environment;
  • Minimum four years’ experience;
  • Strong verbal and written communications with ability to effectively communicate at multiple levels in the organization.
