Roofer Journeyman Job Description Template
Our company is looking for a Roofer Journeyman to join our team.
Responsibilities:
- Cutting felt, shingles, or strips of flashing to fit angles formed by walls, vents, or intersecting roof surfaces;
- Removing snow, water, or debris from roofs prior to applying roofing materials;
- Installing vapor barriers and/or layers of insulation on the roof decks of flat roofs, and sealing the seams;
- Working on low-slope or steep-slope roofs sometimes both;
- Inspecting problem roofing to determine the best repair procedures;
- Inspecting problem roofingto determine the best repair procedures;
- Osha 30 is required;
- Reliable transportation preferred but not required;
- We do NOT provide training, must have experience.
Requirements:
- Experience working with equipment such as: boom lifts, scissor lifts, and forklifts;
- High standard of integrity and professionalism;
- Strong working knowledge of job site safety as well as ability to complete a company specific safety orientation;
- Ability to comprehend, construct, and interpret diagrams, blueprints, and shop drawings for the task being done;
- Ability to install different types of roofing systems such as: TPO, PVC, EPDM rubber, built-ups, Bitumen, metal and dura-last roofing;
- Drug free at all times;
- 4 years of commercial roofing experience;
- Must be willing to complete OSHA-10 safety training which we will provide;
- 4 years of commercial and/or residential roofing experience;
- Five years of roofing experience;
- Drug free at all times (CCS program);
- 5+ years of commercial roofing experience;
- We do NOT provide training, must have experience.
