Our company is looking for a Senior Inspector to join our team.

Responsibilities:

  • Ensure compliance with the contract documents;
  • Prepare complex calculations;
  • Document quantities of materials used on the Project by actual measurements and computations in field notebook or computer spreadsheets;
  • Other related duties as assigned by the Resident Engineer or Project Manager;
  • Confirm all work is associated with pay items;
  • During construction, review and respond to Contractor’s RFI’s/RFC’s or submit to EOR for action; maintain files and logs for RFI’s and RFC’s;
  • Reviews and/or prepares daily reports for preparation of entries to the project diary, as-built plans, materials books, and work books;
  • Performs final inspection, prepares punchlists, and ensures all items on the punchlist are completed or corrected by the contractor;
  • Maintains project correspondence;
  • Prepares project construction reports and monthly project estimates. Makes necessary correction and forwards them to the appropriate parties;
  • Performs required materials testing;
  • Performs field checks of all “red-line” as-built plans to assure completeness of the plans;
  • Researches the proper inspection and construction methods to be prepared for inspection requirements;
  • Provides customer services and good etiquette to the traveling public, adjacent property owners, and other project stakeholders.

Requirements:

  • 8-10 years inspection or consruction engineering expereince;
  • CTQP Concrete Field Inspector Level I;
  • CTQP Earthwork Construction Inspection Level II;
  • Ability to communicate inspection issues effectively and responsibly (verbally and in writing) with internal and external customers;
  • Ability to travel and drive regularly;
  • CTDOT Site Manager reporting system experience;
  • Able to stand and sit as needed on project work sites, climb ladders, work at heights, and work outdoors in a wide range of weather conditions;
  • B. S. degree in Engineering or Construction Management or NICET 2 required;
  • Proven track record of monitoring workplace safety for compliance with contract requirements;
  • CTQP Pile Driving Inspection;
  • FDOT Intermediate MOT;
  • CTQP Asphalt Roadway Level II;
  • Ability to perform complex technical assignments in field surveying and construction layout;
  • CTQP Concrete Transportation Construction Inspector (CTCI) Level II;
  • CTQP Final Estimates Level I.
