Our company is looking for a Clinical Assistant Professor to join our team.
Responsibilities:
- Refer to other institutional and community support services, where appropriate;
- Notifies Program Director of at-risk students or unusual occurrences;
- Participation in course and program level assessments;
- Confers with colleagues to assure the integrity of the courses across programs and the curriculum as a whole;
- Participate in University and Nursing Program events;
- Participate in School of Education, Health Professions and Human Development and Nursing Program Faculty Council meetings;
- Discuss student academic progress and progression toward educational goals;
- Maintains and enhances competence in subjects being taught;
- Participates in program systematic plan of evaluation and course evaluation;
- Documents student progress on appropriate forms;
- Provide needed information so students can make the best academic decisions for themselves;
- Clarify with the student the nursing curriculum and interpretation of programmatic requirements;
- Supervises or teaches clinical rotations as needed in acute, community and laboratory settings;
- Increase student awareness of educational resources available.
Requirements:
- A terminal degree (PharmD or equivalent) in their field;
- The completion of advanced training through a residency or a minimum of 2 years of relevant clinical experience;
- Excellent communication skills, as evidenced in application materials and interview process;
- Doctorate in nutrition, exercise, or behavioral science or other appropriate field related to nutrition;
- Outstanding written and oral communication skills;
- Licensure as a pharmacist in Kansas within 90 days of hire is required;
- Completion of a teaching certificate program or documented experience in teaching, as evidenced in application materials.
