Our company is looking for a Early Childhood Teacher to join our team.

Responsibilities:

  • Promote language development and self-confidence through story telling, drama, music and discussions;
  • Attend to sick children and those in need of first aid;
  • Is familiar with all preschool policies and practices;
  • Maintains student work sample folders, attendance and assessment documentation and student observation reports in an orderly fashion;
  • Serve as a role model for the children in the areas of attitude, speech and actions on a daily basis;
  • Plans the center’s daily activities and program;
  • Plans curriculum and instruction in detail for assigned classes, with team teacher;
  • Follows safety and sanitation policies of the school;
  • Participate in community activities and parent/staff committees;
  • Communicate directly with parents and prospective parents to achieve success for the child;
  • Talk with parents about behavioral ups and downs;
  • Establish policies and procedures for inside and outside the classroom;
  • Develop a program for young children within the preschool;
  • Promote literacy and early education;
  • Ensure the environment meets DCFS state licensing and Excelerate accreditation standards.

Requirements:

  • First Aid, CPR a plus;
  • Sensitive and mature individual who is able to relate well to both children and adults;
  • Current BA on file / in progress; at least three years teaching experience;
  • Experience leading a classroom and creating educational lesson plans;
  • Must meet state requirements for education and additional center/school requirements may apply;
  • Must be at least 18 years of age;
  • High school diploma or equivalent;
  • Assistant Teachers: Must hold a high school diploma or equivalency.
