Our company is looking for a Education Program Specialist to join our team.

Responsibilities:

  • Ensures program webpages are accurate and current;
  • Communicates with other offices with the Department, school districts and schools, college programs, and stakeholder groups;
  • Maintains program records and documents;
  • Prepare correspondence;
  • Assist Activity Directors in determining and resolving conflicts of interest;
  • Identify and collaborate in expanding the school outreach list, ensuring diverse representation of North Texas schools;
  • Create and disseminate pre-visit and post-visit follow-up resource materials for teachers;
  • Provides on-site support for Professional Education on-site and live streaming activities as needed;
  • Develop and implement strategies for evaluating program impact and expanding education audiences;
  • Collaborate and represent the Museum at school outreach events such as school fairs, after school fairs, homeschool days, History Day contests, etc;
  • Other duties as assigned;
  • Create the development of education-related content, resources and support for exhibits and other interpretive projects;
  • Complete applications to third party regulatory bodies, like state-specific boards for Physical Therapy, as required;
  • Develop and manage professional development opportunities for teachers;
  • Develop new education programs in conjunction with other museum content specialists, as appropriate.

Requirements:

  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team;
  • Excellent verbal, written and social media communication skills;
  • Ability to work evenings and weekends, as needed, based on scheduled educational programs;
  • Experience with data entry and data management;
  • Ability to handle data management in Access, Excel or other software systems;
  • Strong research skills;
  • Ability to organize and manage multiple projects and prioritize workflow;
  • Ability to speak, read and write in Spanish, preferred;
  • Ability to interact in positive and effective manner with internal and external parties (including educators and students of all ages);
  • Bachelor’s Degree required; Masters’ Degree in history, education, museum studies, museum education, political science or related field preferred.
