Educator Job Description Template
Our company is looking for a Educator to join our team.
Responsibilities:
- Assist with UTEC-wide events outside of classroom hours and attend retreats;
- Provide personalized instruction to each student to support individual needs and promote interactive learning;
- Assist with recording attendance, grading, and testing data within UTEC’s database and compile all necessary reports.
Requirements:
- Requires walking / standing; lifting, stooping, forward bending, crouching and sitting;
- Working knowledge of Microsoft Office programs and other office equipment;
- At least 1-year experience working in guest services engaging and serving guest; Strong teaching, interpretation and presentation skills;
- Any combination of experience, education, skills, certification(s) etc. will be taken into consideration;
- College coursework preferred (education, conservation or biological sciences);
- Ability to multi-task and adapt to a changing environment;
- At least 3 years of urban teaching experience in a school or comparable setting required;
- Can demonstrate an understanding of educational equity and how issues of bias and privilege impact student learning;
- Teaching and/or administration License in Massachusetts preferred;
- Strong interpersonal skills, humor and compassion;
- Has excellent written and oral communication, organization, and facilitation skills.
