The Pre-School Teacher structures the curriculum and monitors students’ progress to ensure activities are meeting the children’s needs. Oversees the educational activities within the day care classroom. Being a Pre-School Teacher holds conferences with parents to discuss child’s growth and development. Maintains a clean, safe, and nurturing environment. In addition, Pre-School Teacher typically requires an associate’s degree. Typically reports to a supervisor or manager. Being a Pre-School Teacher gains exposure to some of the complex tasks within the job function. Occasionally directed in several aspects of the work. Working as a Pre-School Teacher typically requires 2 to 4 years of related experience.

Our company is looking for a Pre-School Teacher to join our team.

Responsibilities:

  • Ensuring the health and safety of the children;
  • Collectively write and implement developmentally appropriate lesson plans that follow our curriculum and meet PA learning standards;
  • Conduct monthly observations of children in classroom;
  • Collaborate with Co-Teacher in maintaining a clean, friendly, welcoming environment, that adheres to keystone stars standards;
  • Effectively communicate with the children’s parents on a daily basis;
  • Ensures necessary documentation around First Aid and Infant/Child CPR with AED training is met on a bi-annual basis;
  • Meet yearly continuing education requirements;
  • Attend all staff meetings and recommended required trainings.

Requirements:

  • Flexibility within hours of operation;
  • Able to lift 40lbs;
  • Standing, sitting, squatting, bending, twisting, walking, and moving at a fast pace;
  • Must have reliable transportation;
  • Must be willing to travel to various facilities to fill assignments daily;
  • All applicants must be able to pass a background check and be fingerprinted for childcare;
  • Applicant must complete the Safe Sleep training;
  • Applicant must complete the CPR and First Aid training;
  • Applicant must complete 20 hours of ELCCT online courses.
