Quantitative Researcher Job Description Template
Our company is looking for a Quantitative Researcher to join our team.
Responsibilities:
- Conceive, design, analyze, and measure electronic trading strategies;
- Work with extensive administrative healthcare claims data;
- Analyze performance of trading strategies over different markets and optimize strategies based on the analysis;
- Utilize statistical analysis and data mining skills to research, make forecasts, and develop profitable predictive trading algorithms;
- Perform literature research to support modeling or analysis efforts;
- Evaluate physician quality models and identify areas for improvement;
- Impact the product roadmap with key insights distilled from quantitative research;
- Acquire, clean, maintain, and analyze data sets to identify trends & patterns;
- Back test strategies and build predictive models using historical market data;
- Prototype novel approaches to measuring or inferring clinical performance;
- Dive deep into medical conditions and identify the key points where healthcare journeys diverge for different outcomes and interventions.
Requirements:
- Excellent written and oral interpersonal skills You excel with collaborative projects that include cross-functional teams;
- 2+ years of work experience in highly quantitative roles;
- Excellent analytical ability and strategic intuition;
- Ability to lead both quantitative and qualitative research projects;
- Experience with R and Python is a plus;
- Experience with relational databases (e.g. SQL).
