Our company is looking for a Teacher to join our team.
Responsibilities:
- Maintain confidentiality of family records and information;
- Communicate clear guidelines to center parents and volunteers;
- Keep center supplies and equipment clean, organized, and well maintained;
- Attend staff meetings, professional training, workshops and seminars to gain additional knowledge of available resources and skills;
- Serve as a role model for the children in the areas of attitude, speech and actions on a daily basis;
- Building excellent parent relationships through communication;
- Ensuring an educational, caring and safe environment for the children in your care;
- Sharing daily evaluations with parents and conducting parent-meetings as requested;
- Written evaluations;
- Implements the program curriculum and the Head Start performance standards for classrooms;
- Sanitize classroom equipment and laundry;
- lift up to 80 pounds with assistance;
- Other duties as assigned;
- Assist with breaks as assigned and other classroom needs as requested;
- Prepares developmentally appropriate daily lesson plans in advance, which include.
Requirements:
- Up to date CPR/First Aide Training;
- Child Abuse Training;
- Physical (including TB) within the last 12 months;
- Must consent to and pass state felony, Central Registry Check, and/or FBI background check when applicable;
- Must consent to and pass agency drug testing;
- Loves children, particularly the ages being taught;
- Customer service experience;
- 45 hour infant and toddler certificate (required);
- Experience working as a teacher/tutor (Grades: K-12th-Math, Reading, and Science);
- Love to have fun and not only smiles easily but finds joy in making others smile;
- Great attitude and strong work ethic;
- Experience working as a preschool teacher or a Learning center;
- Creative and still in touch with your inner imagination and inner child;
- Intermediate computer skills, internet and e-mail;
- Outgoing and a people person.
