Our company is looking for a Assistant Production Manager to join our team.

Responsibilities:

  • Comply with, enforce, and educate team members on food safety, GMP and AIB requirements;
  • Effectively motivate, train, and communicate with assigned team to assure superior levels of safety, reliability, cleanliness, and quality;
  • Assists in maintaining work flow by monitoring steps of the process, setting processing variables, and observing control points and equipment;
  • Effectively coach, support, counsel, discipline, and develop direct reports to ensure the strategic intent and executions of strategies are realized;
  • Track and report all open issues;
  • Attends BOM details meetings while supporting the execution of final BOMs in PLM;
  • Documents delivery changes in the change log and communicates to cross-functional teams as necessary;
  • Assists with frolling process, helping to identify on any costing concerns;
  • Helps coordinate early booking meetings and execution of early bookings;
  • Lead team to achieving KPI goals;
  • Documents and executes all RSC related activities (pre-season and in-season);
  • Attends critical fitting to offer guidance with respect to costing and lead times;
  • Assist with communication and execution of 2 nd and final bookings;
  • This is a hands on position, filling in as needed when production staff calls off;
  • Complies with and enforces all safety policies and procedures.

Requirements:

  • Must pass a Criminal History check;
  • Must be on-time and ready to begin production/deliver in a timely manner at all times;
  • Ability to Communicate with Volunteers, Production Manager, VP and CEO at all time;
  • Knowledge of Food Preparation and Management;
  • Excellent Driving History;
  • Six Sigma certification is a plus;
  • Prior experience in a manufacturing environment. Prefer experience in a chemical batch process environment;
  • Minimum 3 to 5 years of product experience in product development especially cosmetics & Hair care/color industry;
  • 2-5 years supervisory experience is a plus;
  • Experience in structured Problem Solving Methodology (A3, 5-WHY, 8D, etc);
  • Highly organized and calendar driven with the ability to handle many important tasks simultaneously;
  • Strong organizational and time management skills;
  • Strong interpersonal skills, ability to communicate with all various departments;
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint). Knowledge of SAP will be a plus;
  • BS in Science and/or Engineering preferred.
