Our company is looking for a Production Supervisor to join our team.

Responsibilities:

  • Making sure data produced is accurately documented;
  • Participate in all scheduled meetings as directed by the production Manager;
  • Ensure that assigned areas are maintained at or above minimum housekeeping standards;
  • Responsible for administering disciplinary action, in conjunction with appropriate levels of management and HR;
  • Serve as back up to SQF Practitioner and/or back up of food safety and quality programs;
  • Communicates effectively with all levels of the organization on a regular cadence;
  • Ability to drive;
  • Manages personnel issues including but not limited to vacation approvals, time card approval, daily and weekly overtime, hiring, and training;
  • Think critically to insure the highest level of customer service and efficiency;
  • Plan weekly supervisor coverage with other Production Supervisors;
  • Responsible for manufacturing leadership and direction for safety, production and quality issues for respective shift;
  • Must be proficient with audits;
  • Monitors and reports daily production results, material usage, waste, and downtime;
  • Coach the team in Lean problem-solving methodologies to solve problems of efficiency and quality;
  • Plan production schedules according to recognized equipment limitations.

Requirements:

  • Knowledge of manufacturing processes and procedures;
  • Strong problem-solving skills, mechanical aptitude, attention to detail, and a willingness to work;
  • Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering, Food Science or related discipline;
  • Understanding of basic technology of area where assigned;
  • Oral and written communication skills;
  • Minimum of 5years experience;
  • Knowledge of Microsoft AX;
  • Must pass background check;
  • Teamwork: collaborate effectively with others in the spirit of common objectives;
  • Experience, Education and Certifications;
  • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or Food Science;
  • Ability to lead, motivate and mentor large teams of hourly associates is required;
  • Three to five years experience in manufacturing operations;
  • Ability to work all shifts;
  • High level of analytical ability where problems are complex.
